YES’N’YOU – What does David like or dislike? (A2 Unit 2 Module 2 compatible)

Hello everyone,

For this blog, I decided to interview David about some of the things that he likes and dislikes.

David with microphones 3David is the Director of Studies here at YESNYOU. He lives in Barcelona and works in our office on Calle Paris. He is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Here is what he said:

Hi David. How are you today?

I’m fine, thank you Alastair, how are you?

I’m very well, thank you. I’m going to ask you some questions about the things that you like and dislike. I want you to give reasons for your answers, okay?

How do you feel about pop music?

Oh, I like pop music. I love singing.

Which do you prefer: summer or winter?

Likes and dislikes

That’s easy; the summer definitely. I prefer being warm.

What is your opinion of the American president?

I admire Mr Obama. I love his speeches.

What is your favourite biscuit?

My favourite biscuit is a squashed fly biscuit.

What’s a squashed fly biscuit?

It’s a biscuit with raisins inside it, that look like squashed flies.

Which would you prefer, a holiday in the mountains or a holiday at the beach?

A holiday in the mountains, definitely. I love fresh air.

Do you like dogs or cats?

I like dogs AND cats.

Well, you’re wrong.

I like dogs.

What types of books do you like reading?

I like reading suspense books and crime novels.

Do you hate any types of cake?

I don’t hate any types of cake, but I don’t like Christmas cake.

What fast food company do you admire?

Oh, that’s easy: KFC, because of their original, crunchy chicken.

Do you prefer standing up or sitting down?

Sitting down, definitely. I’m lazy.

Which is better: north or south?

Ah, the south. Of course, the south. I’m from the south. The south is better.

What hobbies do you adore?

I adore reading, and sitting down.

Thanks very much. I think we’ll stop there.

Thank you, Alastair, it’s been a pleasure talking to you. Bye.
